Google Drive, is it for me?

With Hard drive failure imminent, it makes sense to store all your files online. We also carry more than one device around with us, so we need a way to access commonly used documents. There is nothing new about what Google Drive is trying to achieve, but being brought to us by Google, it means it is a quality service, and FREE!!!

Google Drive lets you choose who to share your documents with, so if you want to upload a video that needs editing by your editor, you can select to share this document with your editor. Google Drive is available on PC, Mac, iPhone, and Android, which means you can share files with all your devices.

How to get more twitter followers

Twitter is one of the largest social media websites in the world. The challenge is to figure out how to get thousands of fans to follow your Tweets. The left dashboard in twitter shows a list of trends. The idea is to join in on one of the conversations. Choose one of the trending topics, and write your opinion on it. Using the @[username] mention someone who is a part of the conversation and get involved in it. If you have interesting things to say about the topic, people will start to follow you. Plan out your Tweets, and concentrate on non-robotic interesting things to say. Overtime you will find you will have an audience of real twitter followers and fewer robots.

Google Adwords Part 2

How do you know you have written the perfect? When create an Ad Group, try and created two Ads. Creating two ads will allow you the benefit of finding out which ad performs better. After a week of trailing, you can delete the weaker ad, and create a new ad to compete against the existing champion. Measure your ads by the percentage of clicks received per impressions. The more clicks an ads receives per impressions, the more effective the ad appears to be. This technique is important for valuable keywords and can mean the difference between a successful campaign and a mediocre campaign.

Have you reddit yet?

Reddit is an interesting social media website, with links to articles and events, where the audience can vote and determine how popular the link is. Reddit is a great way to bring together people who have a passion about something and want to have their say in the article or event. You can search Reddit to find something that is affecting your community or you can search for a particular author. Reddit is similar to Twitter, as it is one big conversation, with conversations starting around certain topics.

Google Adwords In Detail Part 1

Google Adwords is an easy way of getting your brand out there, and letting the world know about your products and services. Today I am writing about adding keywords to your ad group, and a good technique to use when adding keywords. Lets say we want to add in the keyword, laptop bag, it is recommended to place the keyword in three different forms as follows: laptop bag (standard) "laptop bag" (exact match) [laptop bag] (broad match) Adding the keyword in all three forms, will improve the reachability of your keyword, and result in more clicks from your campaign.

Why Email Marketing is important

Over the years, I have formed a strong opinion that Email Marketing is the most cost effective way to market your business.

Here are the reasons why:

1. It takes no more than 4 hours to write up a very effective email to send out to your customers.
2. You do not have to post a physical letter to each mailbox. (Saving time and money on postage.)
3. The group receiving your email, are willing to receive it and read it.
4. You can track where your customers go once they have clicked on a link in your email.
5. You can track who has opened your email.

To give you an example of how effective email marketing can be, say you have a list of 6500 subscribers, willing to receive your email. You send your subscribers an email, promoting the latest Territroy from Ford. From the 6500 subscribers, 300 clicked on the link about the latest Territroy. Now you have a list of 300 people who are potential interested in your product, with this new defined list, you can ring them up and ask if they want a test drive. From the 300, 30 say yes, and from the 30, 10 buy a new territory. So from one email marketing campaign, you sell 10 new cars.

How effective an email marketing campaign is determined by a number of factors, including:

1. The subject line. ( The subject sells the email.)
2. The quality of your list. (Does your list only contain people wanting to receive your email.)
3. The first segment. (Is the product/service in demand? Is it linked to your website?)

Remember when writing your email, take your time, as it could be the difference between sales and no sales. If you would like to talk to an Email Marketing Expert, get in touch with Your Turn.
